Upon arrival, officers observed a 45-year-old woman with multiple stab wounds about the torso.

EMS transported the victim to NYC Health & Hospitals/Jacobi, where she was pronounced dead, the NYPD said.

Authorities believe her alleged attacker is the father of the victim’s child, who was not in the apartment at the time of the attack, police sources told the Daily News.

The suspect reportedly fled the scene and there have been no arrests. The investigation remains ongoing.

The identity of the deceased is pending proper family notification.
