NEW YORK (1010 WINS/WCBS 880) -- A woman was beaten at a Queens subway station by a group of people who continued their assault even as she called 911, police said Thursday.
The 46-year-old victim was on a staircase entering the Rockaway Boulevard A-line station shortly after 3:15 p.m. Monday when a member of the group got into a dispute with her and kicked her in the face.
As the victim was trying to call 911, three more people surrounded her, punching and kicking her repeatedly, according to police.
NYPD officers responded to the scene and arrested a 19-year-old woman, identified as Jenniah Johnson, of Queens. She faces charges of assault and criminal mischief.
The other three people left the station and fled eastbound on Liberty Avenue, police said.
EMS transported the victim to Jamaica Hospital Medical Center in stable condition.
