Woman, 86, robbed inside Queens Duane Reade; 2 sought: NYPD

NEW YORK (1010 WINS) — An 86-year-old woman was robbed by a duo inside a Queens Duane Reade, police said Friday.

The brazen theft happened on Oct. 7 around 1 p.m. inside the store located at 35-06 Broadway in Astoria.

Police said that once the men approached the victim, the first suspect — who was observed using crutches and was missing a leg — took her wallet, which contained $40 in cash and an Apple iPhone, out of her purse while the other man hid his actions.

The two individuals then fled the location to parts unknown.
