NEW YORK (1010 WINS) -- Officials are investigating the stabbing death of a woman found inside an apartment at a Bronx NYCHA housing complex early Friday, authorities said.
At approximately 3:40 a.m., police responded to a 911 call of a woman stabbed inside of the Castle Hill Houses located at 530 Olmstead Avenue in Castle Hills.

Upon arrival, officers observed a 56-year-old woman with a stab wound to the lower torso.
EMS transported the woman to NYC Health & Hospitals/Jacobi, where she was pronounced dead, cops said.
There were no arrests nor weapons recovered.
An investigation remains ongoing at this time.
The identity of the woman is pending proper family notification.
