Woman holding baby slapped at Bronx subway station, attacker sought

NEW YORK (1010 WINS) -- Police are searching for a woman who slapped a mom holding her baby inside a Bronx subway station earlier this month, authorities said Monday.

Just after 5:45 p.m., on Tuesday, June 6, a 35-year-old female victim was holding her 9-month-old child against her chest in a wrap carrier and had her 3-year-old child in a stroller, when she was approached by an unknown a woman on the platform of the 4 train at the 149th Street - Grand Concourse subway station.

The woman engaged the victim in a verbal dispute and then slapped the victim in the forehead with a cellphone, officials said.

The suspect fled out of the train station in an unknown direction.

The victim did not require medical attention as a result of this incident.

The suspect was last seen wearing purple scrubs, a gray sweatshirt, and carrying a white and black bag.
