Woman meets with duo to sell $5K of jewelry in Queens, instead robbed at gunpoint: NYPD

NEW YORK (1010 WINS) — A woman who thought she was meeting with two people in Queens to sell jewelry was instead held up at gunpoint, police said Wednesday as they released images of the wanted duo.

It happened on Tuesday around 9:20 p.m. on Pople Avenue near College Point Boulevard in Flushing.

Cops said one of the suspects brandished a gun and forcibly removed the $5,000 in jewelry from the 51-year-old before fleeing westbound on Pople Avenue on foot.

The woman was not injured in the ordeal.
