NEW YORK (1010 WINS) — Police are searching for a woman they said attacked another woman who attempted to sit next to her on a Brooklyn train last week.
The incident occurred at 8:30 a.m. on Thursday, September 23, aboard a Manhattan-bound N Train en route to Atlantic Avenue-Barclays Center in Downtown Brooklyn, authorities said.
Officials said the victim, a 29-year-old woman, approached the suspect and asked if she could sit beside her in an open seat.

The suspect refused and the victim attempted to sit down regardless, sparking a dispute in which the victim was punched several times in the head and face, police said.”
The unidentified woman and the victim detrained separately at Atlantic Avenue-Barclays Center where the victim was treated by EMS for bruising and swelling to her face and pain to her jaw.
