According to the NYPD, the woman and a friend had just gotten off a northbound train when an unidentified man on the platform approached both women and began making advances, but the women ignored him.

The man then slashed one of the women in the back with a sharp object, police said.

The woman was transported to a local hospital and treated for minor injuries, officials said.

Police said the woman did not initially realize she had been slashed.

So far no arrests had been made and the attacker remains in the wind.
