
NEW YORK (1010 WINS) -- A man punched a woman in the face and stole her phone as she rode a subway train in Brooklyn on Monday, police said as they released images of a suspect Wednesday.

The 28-year-old victim was on a southbound L train approaching the Bedford Avenue station in Williamsburg around 8:25 p.m. Monday when the man came up and snatched her phone, police said.
He then punched her in the face, leaving her with tooth damage and a laceration, according to police.
The man got off the train at the Bedford Avenue stop.
The woman refused medical attention at the scene.
