
NEW YORK (1010 WINS) — A woman allegedly robbed an Uber driver in the West Village last month with a taser, authorities said Saturday.
The victim picked up the woman from East 102nd Street and 1st Avenue on Nov. 13 around 1:30 a.m. and was instructed to drop her off on West 9th Street and 6th Avenue, police said.
When they got to the location, the woman took out a taser from her bag and used it multiple times on the driver’s right shoulder, according to officials.
The woman stole the victim’s wallet from the car’s center console before fleeing the scene on foot. The driver’s wallet had about $375 cash inside as well as credit cards and IDs. He refused medical attention at the scene.
The woman police are searching for is about 25-years-old, 5’5”, 125 pounds with a medium complexion, thin build and black hair in dreadlocks. She was last seen wearing a red hooded sweatshirt with a white Nike logo on the front, black pants, black shoes and carrying a large white bag.
