Woman's torso found in shopping cart on Brooklyn street

NEW YORK (1010 WINS) -- A woman’s torso was found in a shopping cart on a Brooklyn street early Thursday, police said.

Cops made the grisly discovery while responding to a 911 call around 1:45 a.m. about “possible found body parts” near the corner of Pennsylvania and Atlantic avenues on the border of Cypress Hills and East New York.

Police said a woman’s torso was in a large bag, which was inside a shopping cart.

The woman has not been identified.

The medical examiner is working to determine her cause of death.

Police said the investigation is ongoing. No arrests have been reported.
