MTA worker beaten, whacked with broomstick by women at Bronx station

NEW YORK (1010 WINS/WCBS 880) – Three women attacked an MTA worker at a Bronx subway station, punching him and striking him with a broomstick, police said Tuesday.

The 67-year-old worker was on a platform at the Wakefield–241st Street station around 8:15 a.m. on April 16 when he got into the women got into a dispute with him.

During the argument, one of the women struck him in the head with a broomstick.

The other two women punched him, police said.

The victim was treated at the scene for a head laceration.

An image released by police Tuesday shows the suspects at the station before they fled.
