
PLAINSBORO, N.J. (1010 WINS) -- A 39-year-old man was fatally struck by an Amtrak train in New Jersey on Tuesday night, authorities said.
Officials said the man was walking on the tracks just east of the Princeton Junction station in Plainsboro just before 7 p.m. when he was struck by the train which was heading to Boston from Washington, D.C., officials said.
The man was pronounced dead at the scene, according to Plainsboro police Lt. John Bresnen.
His identity was not released by officials.
Amtrak and NJ Transit trains were delayed for hours as police investigated.
