Man struck in face during road rage incident in Jersey City: officials

JERSEY CITY, N.J. (WCBS 880) -- A man was struck in the face during an apparent road rage incident in Jersey City Wednesday morning, authorities said.

The incident happened at approximately 8:30 a.m. on 12th Street, near the entrance to the Holland Tunnel, city spokeswoman Kimberly Wallace-Scalcione said.

The victim told responding police officers that a driver had gotten out of his car, approached him, and struck him in the face.

The victim went to an area hospital to be treated for non-life-threatening injuries, Wallace-Scalcione added.

An investigation is ongoing.
