NEW YORK (1010 WINS) — Chris Cuomo announced on Monday that he would leave his SiriusXM radio show after being fired from CNN and accused of sexual misconduct.

"The way my time ended at CNN was hard. While I have a thick skin, I also have a family, for whom the past week has been extraordinarily difficult. So right now, I have to take a step back and focus on what comes next." he said in a statement on Twitter.
He added, "That means I will no longer be doing my SiriusXM radio show. I am extremely grateful for the support I have received from SiriusXM throughout my time there. I also want to express my sincere appreciation for my loyal listeners. I will miss our conversations a great deal — but I look forward to being back in touch with you all in the future."
Cuomo's announced departure comes a day after attorney Debra Katz revealed that CNN was made aware of a sexual misconduct allegation, which ultimately led to his firing.
The network had been investigating the extent to which Cuomo aided his brother, former Governor Andrew Cuomo, when "additional information [had] come to light" and terminated him, CNN said Saturday.
Cuomo had hosted his "Let's Get After It" show, weekdays on the SiriusXM POTUS Politics channel since 2018. He was replaced Monday by former ABC News reporter Brian Ross.
"Following Chris Cuomo’s statement that he is leaving his SiriusXM show, 'Let’s Get After It' will no longer air," a spokesperson for the company said. "We thank Chris for his work at SiriusXM."
