NJ boy, 14, fatally shot after attending birthday party

CAMDEN, N.J. (1010 WINS) — A 14-year-old New Jersey boy was fatally shot after a birthday party Saturday night, authorities said.

Cops responded to a a 911 call of gunshots on Mt. Ephraim Avenue in Camden around 9:30 p.m., police said.

When they arrived, they found the teen boy from Lindenwold unconscious. He was transported by EMS workers to Cooper University Medical Center where he was pronounced dead around 10 p.m., officials said.

The boy attended a party at nearby Elks Lodge earlier in the evening, according to cops.

Police are still investigating the shooting. The victim’s name has not yet been released.
