
MANCHESTER, N.J. (1010 WINS) -- A New Jersey drug dealer pleaded guilty to manslaughter and fentanyl distribution charges on Monday after one of his customers overdosed on drugs he sold him, the Ocean County Prosecutor’s Office announced on Tuesday.

Daniel Tubbs, a 33-year-old from Manchester, sold fentanyl-laced drugs to a 35-year-old man on Aug. 15, 2021. His customer fatally overdosed the next day.
Manchester Township Police Department officers arrested Tubbs on Aug. 19, 2021 during a traffic stop, and he has been held at Ocean County Jail since then.
Prosecutors are asking a New Jersey Superior Court judge to sentence Tubbs to 18 years in prison.
Sentencing is scheduled for Aug. 5.
