NJ urgent care doctor charged for inappropriately touching patients

PERTH AMBOY, N.J. (1010 WINS) — A New Jersey urgent care doctor accused of inappropriately touching women in his care was arrested over the weekend, according to Middlesex County Prosecutor Yolanda Ciccone.

Dr. Gurvindra Johal was arrested by Perth Amboy police on Sunday following an investigation after women alleged that he touched them inappropriately while under his care at Amboy Urgent Care located on Cornell Street.

Johal, 55, was charged with two counts of criminal sexual contact.

An investigation is active and ongoing.
