PATERSON, N.J. (1010 WINS) — A jury convicted a 32-year-old New Jersey man of fatally shooting a woman nine months pregnant with his baby in 2020, the Passaic County Prosecutor’s Office announced Wednesday.
Donqua Thomas waited in his car in front of the victim’s Paterson apartment for more than an hour-and-a-half before firing four shots at Remy Lee on Oct. 29, 2020.
Lee died from her wounds at St. Joseph’s University Hospital, where doctors also successfully delivered the baby.
Thomas turned himself in two days after the shooting.
The jury convicted him of murder and weapons offenses. He’s slated for sentencing on Sept. 22.
