TRENTON, N.J. (1010 WINS) — A New Jersey man was sentenced to 12 years in prison Tuesday for his involvement to a string of 2019 armed robberies across multiple counties in New Jersey and Pennsylvania, officials said.

The Trenton man, 44-year-old Omar Feliciano-Estremera, pleaded guilty to the robberies which he allegedly committed with a now-deceased co-conspirator Gabriel Lopez.

Feliciano-Estremera and Lopez robbed several businesses in Mercer and Union counties in New Jersey and Bucks County in Pennsylvania between May and June 2019. Feliciano-Estremera acted as the getaway driver for Lopez who would enter the business with a gun and demand money from workers at the cash register before fleeing with Feliciano-Estremera, authorities said.

During one of the robberies in Union County, officials said Lopez shot at passing witnesses before he was picked up by Felicano-Estremera.

Feliciano-Estremera admitted to committing eight robberies with Lopez as well as aiding and abetting three robberies. He was charged with four robbery counts and 1 aiding and abetting count.

Along with his 12-year prison sentence, Feliciano-Estremera was given five years of supervised release.
