UNION TOWNSHIP, N.J. (1010 WINS) — A Union Township restaurant owner was convicted of sexually abusing an underage employee who worked for him in 2021, the Union County Prosecutor’s Office announced Thursday.

A Union County jury on Tuesday convicted Adam Yeung, 46, of criminal sexual contact and child endangerment.

Prosecutors said the child was working at Yeung’s restaurant at the time, but did not specify the name of the business or the nature of the abuse.

“We are grateful for the thorough investigation from the Union Police Department that aided our office in bringing this suspect to justice,” said Prosecutor William Daniel. “We hope this conviction can bring some small measure of comfort to the victim and her family.”

Sentencing is scheduled for May 12.
