Veronika L. Callirgos, of Prospect Park, was arrested Wednesday after making the threats in a phone call with an administrator at Prospect Park School #1, the Passaic County Prosecutor’s Office said Friday.

Callirgos became irate during a phone call with an administrator and first threatened to beat up the children at school. She then said she was going to blow up the school, according to prosecutors.

School officials immediately notified the police, who contacted Callirgos by phone. She voluntarily turned herself in at police headquarters, prosecutors said.

Callirgos was charged with third-degree terroristic threats and harassment. She faces between three to five years in state prison if convicted of the charge.

She was released ahead of a future court appearance.
