SYOSSET, N.Y. (1010 WINS) -- A Bronx man found driving with kilos of drugs was arrested on Long Island earlier this week on drug possession charges, authorities announced Friday.
Juan Carlos Cruz, 50, was charged on Wednesday, April 12 with criminal possession of a controlled substance, criminal possession of a controlled substance with intent to sell and VTL violation unregistered motor vehicle.
According to detectives, an investigation led officials to Cruz, a Bronx resident, who was found driving a 2003 Honda sedan with an expired Pennsylvania registration traveling westbound in the vicinity of 567 Jericho Turnpike in Syosset.
Cruz had approximately three kilos of what is believed to be Fentanyl, which was recovered from scene, Nassau County Police said.
Crus was arraigned on Thursday, April 13.
