Govs. Phil Murphy, Ned Lamont and Tom Wolf released a joint endorsement of their fellow Democrat—a day after she gave her first State of the State address since assuming office last August following Andrew Cuomo’s resignation.

Murphy said Hochul “hit the ground running” and “put progress over politics” when working with New Jersey on public health measures, gun violence, and the Gateway Program aimed at overhauling the region’s rail infrastructure.

“I know we have a strong and capable partner in Gov. Hochul,” Murphy said.

Lamont said Hochul has “already proven herself to be a great partner and a dedicated and effective leader.”

In an apparent jab at the Cuomo administration, Pennsylvania’s Wolf said Hochul “has set a new tone for New York State, prioritizing forward-looking policies and ushering in a new era of collaboration.”

Hochul also released a statement responding to the support, saying it was a “a tremendous honor to receive the endorsement of my fellow governors.”

Hochul, who is New York’s first female governor, gave her first State of the State address on Wednesday, where she laid out her vision for a “new era for New York.”

Among the Democrats challenging Hochul in June's primary are New York City Public Advocate Jumaane Williams and Long Island Rep. Tom Suozzi. Former Mayor Bill de Blasio has also hinted that he’ll join the race.

Republicans running for governor include Andrew Giuliani, the son of the former mayor, and Rob Astorino, the former executive of Westchester County.
