NEW YORK (1010 WINS) – New York will offer pop-up vaccination sites at seven airports across the state next week to increase access to the COVID-19 vaccine, Gov. Andrew Cuomo said Thursday.

The airports offering the vaccine from Monday, May 24, to Friday, May 28, include JFK International, LaGuardia and Westchester County.

Any U.S. resident arriving at the airports can get vaccinated, as can airport workers, Cuomo said.

“So you’re going to take a flight. On the way to get the plane, come a few minutes early, get a vaccine at the airport on the way to get a flight, and make sure, wherever you’re going, that you are vaccinated,” the governor said at a briefing.

The sites will be open for walk-in vaccinations on a first come, first served basis utilizing the single-dose Johnson & Johnson vaccine.
