
EAST PATCHOGUE, N.Y. (1010 WINS) -- Suffolk County detectives are investigating a crash that killed a pedestrian early Thursday on Long Island, authorities said.
Just after 5:00 a.m. Milan Moraga, 53, was driving a 2011 Chevrolet Traverse on eastbound Sunrise Highway in East Patchogue, when his vehicle struck a pedestrian who was walking in the left lane, officials said.
Juliann McSweeney, 62, was pronounced dead at the scene.
Moraga and his four passengers were not injured.
The vehicle was impounded for a safety check.
