Teen fatally stabbed, another injured in 'altercation' in NJ

PASSAIC, N.J. (1010 WINS) -- Officials are investigating the fatal stabbing of a teenager during an altercation in New Jersey on Saturday, according to authorities.

At approximately 1:15 a.m., police responded to a reported “altercation” and stabbing in the vicinity of Krueger Place and Popular Street in the city of Passaic.

Two boys, ages 16 and a 17-years-old were stabbed during the dispute.

The 16-year-old was pronounced dead and the 17-year-old was taken to St. Joseph’s University Medical Center for treatment, police said.

This investigation remains ongoing.
