BAYONNE, N.J. (1010 WINS) -- New Jersey police are investigating after a woman was fatally struck by a vehicle on Monday.
Just before noon, the Bayonne Police Department was notified of a pedestrian struck in the area of 22nd Street and Broadway.
Upon arrival, responding officers located Maryann Patey, 74, with a head injury.
Patey was transported by EMS to Jersey City Medical Center, where she was pronounced dead.
The 31-year-old driver of a black Nissan that struck Patey remained at the scene.
Officials are actively investigating this incident.
