An ESPN report came out on Saturday that Tom Brady was finally retiring from the NFL after 22 seasons.
But then the Bucs and Brady’s father and agent said he hasn’t made up his mind yet.
Then another report from NFL Network said he intends to retire, it’s just a matter of timing on the announcement.
That is just the kind of Saturday it has been around the NFL on the eve of championship Sunday as football fans were left with their heads spinning on whether or not one of the all-time greats to play the game was finally leaving for good.
Of course, Twitter had already gone into full “Tom Brady is the GOAT” mode and showing their respects to the legend, only for everyone to start walking back those tweets and ask, “Wait a second, is this happening or what?”

The confusion led to all sorts of jokes and speculation on social media as fans and media all tried to sort out what Brady’s future will be.
