Below the Belt: Why the Cowboys need to sign Trevon Diggs now, burning NFL Draft questions

The Cowboys picked up CeeDee Lamb's fifth-year option Thursday. Lamb will earn around $18 million in the final year of his deal, but that figure is just a place-holder until Dallas gets an extension done with the receiver this offseason. The Cowboys also signed offensive tackle Terrence Steele to his restricted free agent tender worth $4.3 million Thursday.

The next order of business? Besides hammering out a contract with Lamb, Dallas will explore an extension with cornerback Trevon Diggs.
