Clarence Hill of the Fort Worth Star-Telegram was the first to report the news of Williams' arrest.

According to the Dallas Morning News, Williams was allegedly in possession of less than 1 gram of THC, which is classified as a low-level felony in the state of Texas.

The weapons charge is classified as a Class A misdemeanor.

Williams returned home with the Cowboys on Sunday following Dallas' preseason matchup with the Seattle Seahawks on Saturday. The arrest occurred later Sunday evening.

The Cowboys have yet to comment on the arrest of Williams, but he did practice with the team on Tuesday.

Williams, who had four sacks in his rookie season in 2022, is expected to play a bigger role for the team this season.
