DALLAS (105.3 The Fan) - The Dallas Cowboys added another body to the offensive line room with the No. 155 pick in the 2022 NFL Draft on Saturday, picking North Dakota offensive tackle Matt Waletzko.
Waletzko is now the second offensive linemen taken by the Cowboys thus far in the draft, joining Tulsa tackle Tyler Smith who was taken in the first round.
An FCS second-team All-American last season, Waletzko has battled injuries throughout his career with the Fighting Hawks, but was one of the best offensive linemen in the Missouri Valley Conference when healthy.
Waletzko started 10 games at left tackle last season before his season was cut short with an upper body injury.
He was healthy for all seven games of the abbreviated schedule in the spring of 2021, and missed six of the team's 12 games in 2019 with an injury.
Waletzko played in nine games as a true freshman, starting five at left tackle.
