DALLAS (105.3 The Fan) - The Dallas Cowboys are gaining reinforcements along the offensive line this week, with La'el Collins coming back into the fold following his five-game suspension.

However, that might not necessarily mean Collins is getting his starting right tackle job back.

In Wednesday's press conference, McCarthy told reporters that Terrance Steele, who has performed admirably in Collins' absence, will begin the week as the team's No. 1 right tackle, while Collins will work at both tackle and guard throughout the week.

In the Cowboys most recently released depth chart on Tuesday, Collins was slotted as both the No. 2 right tackle, and the No. 2 left guard.

So what could this potentially mean for Dallas?

Likely not much. This could all be a ploy to give Collins time to get back into game shape before regaining his starting position.

On the other hand, it could mean that the Cowboys are contemplating a shuffle along the offensive front -- perhaps moving Connor Williams to center and Collins to left guard, or replacing Williams with Collins all together, and converting Williams to a swing offensive lineman.

Re-shuffle or not, Collins will be back in the fold along the Cowboys front, where they have been in desperate need of depth since his suspension after Week 1 -- and he is approaching it as a pro.

“He’s a pro,'' McCarthy said. "He’s just anxious to get back out there.”
