UPDATE (6:18p): An MRI has revealed that Cowboys quarterback Dak Prescott has a muscle strain in his right shoulder.

"I felt some soreness when making certain throws today & I really just decided not to push things too far. Better to be cautious & smart about it. I don’t see this as any kind of serious setback. We’ll treat it on a daily basis and I’ll be fine," Prescott said in a statement.

DALLAS (105.3 The Fan) - Coming off of a brutal season-ending injury in week five of the 2020 season, all eyes have been on Dallas Cowboys quarterback Dak Prescott's health at training camp.

On Wednesday, Prescott gave the Cowboys fans a bit of a scare, when he left the field during warmups with apparent arm discomfort, which was reported as 'arm soreness'.

However, according to a team spokesman, the removal of Prescott from the field was purely a precautionary measure.

105.3 The Fan's Mike Fisher reports that Prescott had his arm checked out by the team's medical staff and "it's fine."

"Arm soreness, and nothing structurally problematic," Fish added on the GBag Nation on 105.3 The Fan.

Prescott, of course, recently signed a contract extension in which he will earn $160 million over four years, making him the highest-paid quarterback in football.

Prescott is set to speak to the media after Wednesday's practice.

This is a developing news story.
