DALLAS (105.3 The Fan) - The Dallas Cowboys made another key signing on Wednesday afternoon, bringing back defensive tackle Johnathan Hankins on a one-year deal, according to multiple reports.
The reportedly deal is worth up to $1.5 million.
Hankins, who joined the Cowboys last season in a trade from the Oakland Raiders, now fills a spot previously expected to be one of the Cowboys few major needs heading into the draft.
Now, however, that need has been filled, in a big way.
Last season in Dallas, played in five games, starting three, and made 10 tackles and one tackle for loss in his run-stuffing role.
With Hankins in the fold, the Cowboys can also now begin to narrow their search in the first round of the draft.
Perhaps to a player that could make a major and instant impact, like Texas Longhorns running back Bijan Robinson, or Utah tight end, Dalton Kincaid.
