DALLAS (105.3 The Fan) - The Dallas Cowboys made a major move on Day 3 of the 2023 NFL Draft Saturday, selecting Kansas State running back Deuce Vaughn with the No. 212 pick in the sixth round.
Vaughn comes to the Cowboys as one of the top running backs in the Big 12 during his time with the Wildcats, and will hope to work into the rotation with Tony Pollard next season.
In his three seasons with the Wildcats, Vaughn was hyper-productive in his three seasons at Kansas State, rushing 651 times for 3,604 yards and 34 touchdowns, with 116 catches for 1,280 yards and nine more scores through the air.
At Kansas State, Vaughn was also one of just three players in school history to total more than 5,000 all purpose yards, alongside Darren Sproles and Tyler Lockett - both NFL standouts.
Vaughn was named a unanimous All-American in 2022, and a consensus All-American in 2021. He was also the the Big 12 offensive freshman of the year in 2020, and was a second-team All-Big 12 performer in all three of his seasons in Manhattan.
