DALLAS (105.3 the Fan) - The Dallas Cowboys continued their busy free agent spending spree on Friday, signing former Atlanta Falcons defensive end Dante Fowler to a one-year contract.

Fowler, a former No. 3 overall pick of the Jacksonville Jaguars out of Florida in 2016, has 200 tackles, 35 sacks, 44 tackles for loss 59 quarterback hits and 10 forced fumbles in his five seasons.

Fowler previously played in Atlanta under now Cowboys defensive coordinator Dan Quinn, totaling 59 tackles and 7.5 sacks during that time.

Fowler also spent two seasons with the Rams, including his best season in 2019, in which he had 11.5 sacks, 16 tackles for loss and 16 quarterback hits.
