DALLAS (105.3 The Fan) - The Dallas Cowboys added another offensive weapon into the fold on Tuesday, signing former Buccaneers and Chiefs running back Ronald Jones.

Jones now joins Tony Pollard in the new-look Dallas backfield for 2023.

The move comes just days after the Cowboys parted ways with Ezekiel Elliott, and 24 hours after Jones made his free agent visit with the franchise.

Jones spent the first four years of his career with the Buccaneers, where he was a key part of the offense, rushing 488 times for 2,174 yards and 18 touchdowns.

His best year came in 2020, when he rushed 192 times for 978 yards and seven scores.

Jones went over 1,000 yards from scrimmage in both 2019 and 2020.

Last season with Kansas City, Jones played in six games, rushing 17 times for 70 yards and a score.
