DALLAS (105.3 The Fan) - The Dallas Cowboys have made yet another massive offseason move, this time on the offensive side of the football.

According to multiple reports, the Cowboys have completed a trade for Houston Texans standout wide receiver, Brandin Cooks.

In return for Cooks, the Cowboys will be sending a fifth-round pick (No. 161 overall) in 2023 and a sixth-round pick in 2024 back to the Texans.

According to multiple reports, the Texans will pay $6 million of Cooks' $18 million salary for 2023, while Dallas is on the hook for the other $12 million. Cooks will earn $13 million in 2024, the final year of his contract.

Cooks, 29, now joins a Cowboys wide receiver group alongside CeeDee Lamb and Michael Gallup that might have just become the best trio in the NFL.

Last season, with a subpar passing game led by quarterback Davis Mills, Cooks had a down year by his standards, catching 57 passes for 699 yards and three touchdowns.

However, heading into 2022 Cooks had gone for over 1,000 yards receiving in six of the previous seven seasons. He has also gone for over 1,000 yards in six of his nine seasons in the league.

With the deal, Cooks has now been traded four times in his career, tying him with Hall of Fame running back Eric Dickerson as the most traded player in NFL history.
