Cowboys right tackle Terence Steele suffered a potentially significant knee injury when he stepped on Cowboys quarterback Dak Prescott's foot in the second quarter. He was helped off the field by trainers and went straight to the locker room for further evaluation and never returned.

According to 105.3 The Fan's Bobby Belt, Steele is expected to undergo an MRI on Monday, but "there's concern" that he'll miss the rest of the season.

The Cowboys turned to backup tackle Josh Ball to fill in for Steele, but the second-year pro was beaten several times by the Texans' pass rush and allowed the hit on Cowboys quarterback Dak Prescott that resulted in a fourth quarter interception.

Jason Peters, who hadn't played right tackle since 2005, subbed into the game for Ball on the Cowboys' final possession and helped Prescott lead the Cowboys offense on a 98-yard touchdown drive to win the game.

Steele wasn't the only Cowboy to go down on Sunday, either, as nose tackle Johnathan Hankins (shoulder) and Jake Ferguson (neck, head) will be further evaluated on Monday.
