DALLAS (105.3 The Fan) - The Dallas Cowboys released defensive tackle Trysten Hill after they couldn't find a taker for him before the trade deadline expired at 3 p.m. CT on Tuesday, Michael Gehlken of the Dallas Morning News reports.
With 11 defensive linemen on the 53-man roster and defensive end Tarell Basham set to return from a quad injury next week, Dallas didn't have a place for Hill on the roster.
Hill was a healthy scratch in the team's 49-29 win over the Bears on Sunday.
Hill, a 2019 second-round pick, was in the final year of his rookie contract with the Cowboys. In 25 career games, Hill had 33 total tackles.
Gehlken joined the GBag Nation after the deadline came and went without the Cowboys making a trade. Watch the video above to hear the conversation.
