DALLAS (105.3 The Fan) - Despite all of the injuries the Cowboys have suffered this season, Hall of Famer receiver Michael Irvin says that's no excuse for Mike McCarthy and his staff to not win some games.
Shan and RJ asked Irvin how to judge McCarthy with the offensive line in shambles and both Dak Prescott and Andy Dalton out?
"(You judge him) the same way you look at (49ers head coach) Kyle Shanahan and judging him. He's doing a hell of a job with the injuries he's had. The same way we look at (Steelers head coach) Mike Tomlin last year and judged him. He did a hell of a job with his fifth quarterback. That's what we do, we expect to see something, okay? It's bad, it doesn't look good, but let's see what you got right now," Irvin said on 105.3 The Fan. "If we judge you, and everybody's doing great, that's one thing. But now, it's a mess. If you can do something in the mess we know what you somebody gets at their best. Let me see you do something in this mess. I don't care what it is, (do) something to steal a game. The San Francisco 49ers, they've won games with backup players, they've been doing it all year long. They've been decimated by injuries. I know they lost the game last night. But they still have been winning games and they have been competitive. Do what they're doing. Let me see what Mike Tomlin did. Let me see some of that stuff."
The 49ers have lost more players this season to injury than any other team in the NFL. San Francisco is 4-5 while the Cowboys are 2-6.
