ARLINGTON (105.3 The Fan) - The Dallas Cowboys drafted Jalen Tolbert in the third round of the 2022 NFL Draft to help alleviate the loss of former No. 1 wide receiver Amari Cooper. But they won't be getting any production out of the rookie for the second straight week, as he isn't among the 46 players Dallas is suiting out for the contest against the Cincinnati Bengals.

Injuries and offseason departures have left the team a bit thin at receiver, and fellow rookie Dennis Houston - who went undrafted - is active this afternoon over Tolbert.
In addition to Houston, the Cowboys will deploy a receiver group consisting of CeeDee Lamb, Noah Brown, Simi Fehoko and KaVontae Turpin against the Bengals.
The Cowboys will also be without quarterback Dak Prescott (thumb, safety Jayron Kearse (knee) and guard Connor McGovern (ankle), who were all injured in the last week's loss to the Tampa Bay Buccaneers. Additionally, defensive end Tarell Basham was placed on injured reserve with a thigh injury after getting injured in the season opener.
Wide receiver Michael Gallup did progress to team drills in practice this week but the Cowboys will hold him out another week. He has a strong chance to return to the lineup in Week 3.
