ARLINGTON (105.3 The Fan) - Tony Pollard got a rare start on Sunday, filling in for an injured Ezekiel Elliott, who was out with a sprained knee.

Pollard made the most of his opportunity, rushing for 131 yards and three touchdowns to help lead the Cowboys to a 49-29 win over the Bears. Pollard also had one catch for 16 yards.

Pollard's burst and shiftiness was on full display as he alluded Bears tackles all day, en route to a 9.4 yards per carry. While Elliott has run well this season, it's been Pollard who has been the more impressive back, despite getting fewer touches.

Cowboys owner Jerry Jones spoke about Pollard's strong play after the game on Sunday, but once again threw his support behind Elliott.

"We go as Zeke goes. I really mean that. Zeke's that important to this team. He's as important to us as he was before the game. ... There's no argument," Jones said when asked if Pollard should get more carries than Elliott. "Zeke's ability to punish. Zeke's ability to deliver it. What he does for us in pass protection. And, frankly, Zeke's ability to make big plays are there. We're going to go as Zeke goes. He's that integral to our success this year."
