The Indianapolis Colts recently waived star linebacker Shaquille Leonard, in what was one of the more surprising moves of then NFL season thus far.
And now, after clearing waivers on Wednesday, Leonard is sure to be one of the more heavily pursued players on the market.
In fact, per ESPN insider Adam Schefter, there are already teams that are interested in acquiring the star linebacker, including the Philadelphia Eagles and the Dallas Cowboys.
Dallas in particular would be a fantastic fir for Leonard, after their recent loss of linebacker Leighton Vander Esch for the season.
In his career, Leonard has 614 total tackles in his six seasons, including 163 in his rookie campaign. He has also been named a first-team All-Pro three times, second-team All-Pro once, and made three Pro Bowls.
Leonard has had injury issues over the last two seasons, however, playing just three games in 2022. He has played in nine games of the Colts 10 games with nine starts in 2023.
