OXNARD (105.3 The Fan) - Cowboys COO Stephen Jones joined the K&C Masterpiece live from training camp in Oxnard Wednesday.

Jones talked about quarterback Dak Prescott's recovery and compared his work ethic to a couple of former Hall of Famers.
"What you see on the show [Hard Knocks] is this guy is so driven. That's his nature is just to overwork. He's like Troy Aikman and Michael Irvin rolled up into one guy," Jones said. "His leadership, his tenacity, his skills, his desire to be great, to be the best. You really got to harness him in. So, my [opinion] is that we got to be so conservative [with Dak]. Because if you let him roll he'd be out there playing four quarters against the Cardinals.
"We've got to be very conservative with him. Obviously, you saw him throwing the ball around, he looks great. I know some people get [a little concerned when he's not throwing]. This is a long preseason. We're a week ahead of everybody else and he's taking it all in, as you can see out there. We're going to bring him along but we're going to do it the right way, and we're going to protect him from himself."
