New Dallas Cowboy Tyler Smith: "I can play anywhere they put me"

DALLAS (105.3 The Fan) - If there was one thing you could take away from Tyler Smith's first interview as a member of the Dallas Cowboys, it's that the hometown kid was thrilled to be joining the team he grew up rooting for.

"It's indescribable. I can't even put it into words, really. As soon (as he got the call) everyone was yelling and screaming," The North Crowley HS alum said on 105.3 The Fan. "I'm in pure shock talking to (Jerry) Jones. You almost got to pinch yourself. It's like a dream."

Smith, who played tackle at Tulsa, played guard in high school. So what position is he most comfortable playing?

"I'm most comfortable playing wherever. I train (for every position). I'm willing to put the work in, take the coaching, to do whatever I got to do. That's my outlook on it. I can play anywhere they put me."
