ARLINGTON (105.3 The Fan) - Cowboys quarterback Dak Prescott isn't playing Saturday night in the team's preseason game vs the Texans at AT&T Stadium.

But that didn't stop him from going through his normal pregame workouts on the field.

Team reporters, including 105.3 The Fan's Mike Fisher, observed Prescott make "about 50" throws prior to the game.

On the pregame show on 105.3 The Fan, Cowboys owner Jerry Jones said that Prescott would be playing if it were the regular season.

"He threw with authority and accuracy before the game. If we were lining up against Tampa (season opener on Sept. 9) tonight, he'd be starting - and we'd feel great about it."

Prescott, who resumed throwing on Aug. 10, has been limited in training camp practices by the Cowboys training staff in an effort to build up his throwing workload after he suffered a strained latissimus muscle in his right shoulder.

ESPN's Adam Schefter speculated on Friday that Prescott may not be at full strength all season, while NFL Network reporter Tom Pelissero added Saturday that the Cowboys quarterback has had "absolutely no setbacks" in his rehab.

Meanwhile, when it comes to Schefter's report, Fish said "it's semantics," and no player can truly be 100-percent throughout the NFL season. See his explanation in the video above.
