DALLAS (105.3 The Fan) - At Thursday's press conference to introduce Jason Kidd and Nico Harrison as the next head coach and head of basketball operations/general manager, Mavericks owner Mark Cuban declined to speak about the future of Bob Voulgaris, the man at the center of The Athletic's bombshell article last month that preceded Donnie Nelson and Rick Carlisle's departures.
"You know, I don't talk about anybody who's on or off the payroll. Never have, never will. Because that just starts a slippery slope," Cuban said.

His response left Mavericks fans and media alike very frustrated because it's a simple and fair question based on what was written about the analytical guru. And, as 105.3 the Fan's Mike Fisher pointed out, if Mark is saying he doesn't talk about people on the payroll, then what is he doing at a press conference praising the people next to him on the stage that are ... on his payroll?

Harrison joined Shan and RJ for the first time on Friday and was finally able to provide some much-needed clarity on the Voulgaris' situation.
"I can honestly say, I don't know (if he's going to be working with the team next year). I haven't met Bob, I read the article, but I haven't spoken to Bob. So, I'll get a chance to get with him and try to understand his philosophy, mentality, and what went wrong, if anything. I don't know how much of the article is true or not, but I definitely read the article."
Now, was that so hard, Mark?
