Rangers shortstop Corey Seager was forced from Tuesday night's game against the Kansas City Royals with a left hamstring injury.
Seager came up hobbling as he was heading to second base on an opposite-field base hit in the top of the fifth inning. He limped off the field and was replaced by Josh Smith on the basepaths.
Shortly after he exited the game, the Rangers announced the injury as "hamstring tightness" and said he would continue to be evaluated.
Seager missed a month in 2019 when he strained his left hamstring while playing for the Dodgers.
